Indie Fusion Bookcon – D-3

Indie Fusion Bookcon is three days away!

This is my first in-person event, and I’m both excited and nervous.

If I’m being completely honest, an in-person event (or at least your first one) is a lot of pre-planning and work. There was a lot I felt I needed before the event that hadn’t crossed my mind when I signed up. Display stands, author banner, book stock, oh my! All of this without really knowing if I will do well. It’s more than a little overwhelming.

Probably why I have put off doing one until now.

It was a big thing to tackle, and for anyone following me on socials or reading my blog, you likely know I haven’t really been mentally in it lately. Due to some personal circumstances, I have struggled to be in a creative space, and that hasn’t really changed. But I’m very much at the “Something’s Gotta Give” point in my author journey. So… I think it was due time to get my a** to an event and spread my wings.

Now, we are three days away from the event. I have all the stock, got some goodies, and everything I felt I needed to at least bring people to my table, and I still don’t feel ready.

If you’re in Toronto or the GTA and love books, I hope you’ll come find me at Indie Fusion Bookcon. It’s at the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport. I’ll be at table 31.

Hope to see you there!
