The Seamstress Short Story

Heyo!

My last post was to tell my wonderful readers that under the influence of a plethora of sinus medication, I accidentally uploaded both Summer Island and Winter’s Spring to Kindle Unlimited and made both available as ebooks. My intention was to upload Winter’s Spring and have it available for Pride, but with blurred eyes, a sh*t ton of can-do, and no brakes… I honestly can’t tell you what happened. Such is the story of my life. A carefully crafted plan, not followed which results in confusion.

Anyway… The Seamstress, which was actually the short story in the second anthology, The Remnants of Fall, was put on the back burner because I had very hastily put together a cover that I simply didn’t like. I do this every so often, write a story, create the cover, despise the cover with every breath of my body, and then put the proof on the shelf to collect dust. Is this the kind of attitude that is going to have me sporting a Best Seller title one day? Ah, probably not. Is it working for me so far? Also no. Will I work toward making changes in the future so this isn’t how I operate? No comment.

All of this rambling is to tell you that at some point during my ambling, I’ve redesigned the cover, and it’s going to be put on Kindle Unlimited after another (because you can really never do this too many times) proofread.

The blurb:

There are memories in Rhapso’s mind, screaming at her to be seen. Voices whisper about a life she can’t remember, but she could… if only she abandoned The Veil. Leaving the place she has been told is her very purpose. Her only purpose. Once she leaves the veil and stops stitching the endless holes, she’ll know who she is and what she’s supposed to do, but that might come at the cost of everything.

Luther has always had one task: track down the seamstress whenever she escapes.

There is nothing he detests more than being a retrieving dog for the tribunal, but they’re the only ones who can offer him a reprieve from the curse that plagues him. As much as the Hellhound in him hates it, he is bound to his task, and when the seamstress flees The Veil once more, he is ready for the hunt.

Can Luther drag Rhapso back to The Veil before the worlds crumble without her careful stitching? Or will the memories that have evaded her finally come to light?

This short story should be live within the next few weeks.
