“We ask so little of her.” Blonde tresses floated around her, her pale pink skin glowing as she narrowed her white eyes at Luther. She was seated near the middle, her tone one of honed authority.
“You ask her to constantly sew together the veil that parts the immortal and the mortal world. I would say that’s asking more than enough.” He argued because he could and because he couldn’t do what he wanted — which was to do away with every pompous being on the tribunal. “If it were a little task, her absence would not gather the tribunal… as it always does.”
The Seamstress is an apocalyptic urban fantasy short that follows Rhapso, The Seamstress, and Luther, The Hellhound. Sequestered away from both the mortal and immortal worlds in the veil, Rhapso is forced to continually sew up holes to keep the worlds from bleeding into one another. Each escape has the hellhound on her heels as he is tasked to return her in exchange for help from the tribunal – the governing party of the immortal world.
“Rip goes the veil,” Rhapso sang. “And all that we are comes tumbling through.”
