The Blood of the Covenant is an anthology of short stories by amazing indie authors that I’m thrilled to be a part of. The book will have an overall paranormal theme and all the stories will focus on the found family trope. It is currently available for preorder but will be released as an ebook on March 31st.
My short for this collection will be a Hansel and Gretel reimagining. The tale is one told by every species. There is a cannibalistic witch in the woods. She will eat you whole if you aren’t careful. It’s always been just a story, a tale told by frustrated parents to make their children behave — mortal and fae alike. Jhaeros, an elf, never believed it to be true. Not until he stumbled, hungry and tired, upon a feast in the woods, ate the pie, and was thrown down into the witch’s dungeon. Trapped with a collection of other paranormal beings, Jhaeros finds out he must survive a series of trials to avoid being thrown into the witch’s cauldron. Can the proud elf work alongside beings he despises to free himself from her clutches?
The excitement I have for this project is immeasurable. I can’t believe my name will be along authors like E.P. Bali, Britton Brinkley, J.L. Casten, Dartanyan Johnson, Isabelle Olmo, and Nikita Rogers. Definitely jump onto their author pages and see what amazing works they already have out there in the world.
