I’m guessing a lot of you have stumbled upon my website likely after reading the first book in my Seven Realms Books series, Hidden In Darkness where you were introduced to our badass female lead, Melas and her lovable daughter, Zura. For those of my readers who have stumbled across my social media pages, the most commonly asked question I get is; ‘When is the second book coming?’
I get it. It pains me to say I am one of the most impatient readers. I don’t even like to start a series that isn’t fully published yet because I need that immediate closure after I binge through a book series (says the author with only one book in her series out yet… please don’t be like me. Pick up my first book!).
My goal moving forward is to have book two, Lost In Fire out by November. The original plan was October, but I don’t want to rush the book out and have the story suffer because of it. Don’t worry though, I’m not sitting on my hands twiddling my thumbs (this is me realizing how inappropriate that visual is). There are two very important things in the works that will hopefully appease your appetites while you wait.
What are they?
Do I want to let you know right now? Or do I want you all to suffer alongside me and keep you completely in the dark as I try to get this done?
Who am I kidding? I know I’m going to tell you.
Two novellas are in the works right now, one will hopefully release within the next month and the second I am debating whether to hold onto and release after the second book, or whether to have it come out before. To make these novellas easy for you to find, they will be subtitled as Seven Realm Stories to let you know they are part of the universe but not stories on the main path.
What are these novellas about?
Please don’t read on if you haven’t read the first book, Hidden In Darkness
The first novella that will be released will follow the story of Thiriel before the first book takes place. This book will hopefully give you a better idea of how he was able to accomplish all the things he seems to do with ease, and how he accumulated all the power he is now using.
It was really fun to write a novella giving you an idea of the inner working of the Seven Realms’ villain and I hope this will be a fun read with a lot of little easter eggs to hint at new characters and conflict moving forward.
The second novella was one that was asked of me the most by those who have read my first book already, and that is the story of our mated Pixies: Cricket and Alette.
Will there be steam? Yes. Will there be backstory? Yes. Will there be even more fun stories, battles, blades, and epix adventure… I mean… yeah. Did you not catch the vibe or… ?
